An inside view to our art space

Aside from Playmobil this is where my girls spend the most of their time. We get quite a few questions as to what is in our art area.  Here is an inside view.  Also, a lot of this stuff comes with a lot in one pack.  You can easily cost share with friends and family.  If you click on the pictures there is a direct link to where I purchased everything.

  7. What are the main containers used on the shelf? They look like they are re-purposed but I can't remember where I have seen them. Lovely art space!

  9. Hi PAHM! I am wondering if I could email with one of you. I've been following your blog for a few months now but could really use some direction. I realize that it is a change in thinking - more for the adult than the child :) I don't want to just "copy" activities from you all, because that's not what it's about. I've been working on slowly putting together an environment (we just moved to a house from an apartment so we have a dedicated playroom! Yay! Anyway. Please email me if you can: michelle(dot)cohoon(at)gmail. I have a 19 month old. Specifically I'm struggling with allowing her free-range with guidance vs hovering. I'm not much of a hoverer in general anyway...but, for example, what do I do when she throws the jar of buttons everywhere?! Or when she just makes a mess of all the things set out on the shelves? And also any resources to help with the mental transition for myself. Thanks. (If it's not too much trouble. I realize you have thousands of followers and your own littles.)

  13. Wow - this is seriously awesome!!! I have so many supplies and would love to put them out like this. I have a 19 month old though and I know he'd be into everything. Maybe when he's a bit older. Really awesome! I added you on Pinterest. :)

  14. Deb, I had a ton of stuff from scrapbooking/general crafting too, and I went ahead and dedicated a room to an art room, and put them all out in clear containers. He's 20 months old. LOVES IT. Not a big deal at all, but I do keep the container with more hazardous stuff up on the top shelf a bit out of reach still. (the craft hammer for hammering nails/screws-which he LOVES, and his kid-friendly scissors, are both in the out-of-reach zone, as are the paints).

  15. Hi, I love your site! Where did you find your containers or are the just repurposed? Thanks!

  16. The big containers on the bottom are from Dollar Tree and the little glass jars on the top are repurposed food jars.

  17. Thank you so much for this visual! It is so inspiring. I read about it last night, and I've started reorganizing our house today.

  18. This looks amazing! Do you just let them "go at it" anytime/anyday or do you regulate how often and what supplies they are able to use?
