Yogurt and food coloring
Any age..... Any time.... Any place
RL
Yogurt and food coloring - 7 month old
8 months old - yogurt and food coloring
Mixing colors - 9 months old Yellow and blue make....
It may stain a little but will come off eventually! LOL We find most stuff comes off after bath. You can also use food based dyes. http://playathomemom3.blogspot.com/2011/06/food-based-coloring-and-dyes.html
This looks like a fun activity, but regular food dyes contain RED 40 and RED 3. Each are associated with cancer and hyperactivity! Parents, I recommend doing your own research before using dyes!
Instead of the food colorings why not use actual food purees to color the Yogurt? Or fruit juices or make your own fruit juices to use as colors. As a teacher this is a great idea!
Does the food coloring stain the baby's skin?? I'd love to try this with my 10 month old. My 3 yr old would have a blast too.
